Diabetes Type 2

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, aka DM2 has reached epidemic proportions in the United States.  Experts estimate that by the year 2020, one quarter of all health care dollars spent will be in the treatment of this disease and its complications. The fact of the matter is as a nation we are collectively eating ourselves to death.  We are eating too many nutritionally worthless calories, coupled with a completely sedentary lifestyle, have a high degree of psychological stress, and are living in a toxic environment which is a perfect recipe for a metabolic disaster.

DM2 historically was referred to as adult onset diabetes, but we can’t call it that any more.   We are seeing it in younger and younger people, with preliminary stages being traced into the early teen years.  To complicate the issue further, DM2 is often seen in the presence of another disease of epidemic proportions, obesity.  In some of the research literature doctors and scientists have cleverly fused the two terms into “Diabesity.”  If you are person who is obese and has uncontrolled blood sugar dysregulation then you have “Diabesity.”

Conventional medicine is armed with pharmaceutical insulin sensitizers, hypoglycemics, and insulin to treat DM2.  If the disease continues to progress other more severe complication will arise. At that point, surgical amputation can limit the spread of massive infections in non healing wounds/ulcers and renal dialysis can assist the overburdened and failing kidneys. Medical Doctors often encourage their patients to exercise and to make dietary changes. Some will refer their patients to registered dieticians for nutritional counseling.

The doctors at Revolutions Natural Medical Solutions will teach you how to eat, exercise, and detoxify so that you can successfully prevent and treat DM2.  There are no short cuts when it comes to reverse engineering DM2.  You will need to follow an individualized clinical nutrition/exercise plan consistently for several months; this will include the use of vitamins and supplements along with your medications, and a strict regimen of exercise.  Also, if and when you reverse your DM2, you will need to be vigilant and proactive the remaining years of your life in order to stay well.
